SELF CARE IS EXHAUSTING.

Seriously, how am I supposed to be a pulled together woman in my 30s? It’s exhausting and I can’t do it all!

Wash your face. Use a serum and an eye cream. Have you tried jade rolling? You really should exfoliate. You’re already getting wrinkles. Use sunscreen. But only the right kind or you’ll get cancer. Also have some color but not really because cancer.

Brush your teeth at least twice a day, floss, use mouthwash, make sure they’re whitened, replace your toothbrush all the time.

Exercise. But on top of that, make sure you stretch because we sit a lot and mobility is an issue. Yoga is a great practice to pick up. Foam roll. Take epsom salt baths if needed.

Exfoliate and shave your body. Dry brushing is helpful for lymphatic drainage. Moisturize.

Wash your hair. Style it. But not with too much heat. Keep split ends trimmed for healthy hair. Silk pillowcases or caps are helpful for frizz!

Take your vitamins. But the right kind for your body or you’ll have too much or not get the right thing.

Try an elimination diet to figure out what your body is reacting to.

Read personal development to help you grow.

Have your quiet time to ground you spiritually.

Go see your therapist.

Take your medication. Well, not that one. Try this one.

Get enough water.

Get blue light blocking glasses to protect your eyes from screens.

Be in nature for at least 10 minutes a day.

Get 8 hours of sleep.

On top of that, try to do laundry, raise kids, have a good marriage, spend time with friends, give back, eliminate plastic from your life, stay in budget, and maybe do something about your eyelashes and/or eyebrows.

I’m too exhausted from trying to take care of myself to take care of myself!

I don’t guess it was always this complicated. But knowledge is power right? Or the curse of knowledge? Or something. I feel like I have to pick. It’s like a really messed up game of Would You Rather. Do you want to have friends but be bloated and hairy? OR would you rather have wrinkles, let your eyeballs fry, but be mentally stable?

I have no solution. I guess I’m going to pick the most important? Get in exercise and hydrate? Stay mentally well? Oh well. There’s always botox.
